Fitness and performance weekend Olympia was held in Las Vegas Convention center September 18-23, 2014. Kettlebell sport World Cup was in official event schedule. Kettlebell lifters competed the same time with participants of Mr. Olympia competition. It was really great event!
Around 50 athletes from Canada, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and USA competed among professionals. Gold medals won:
Biathlon:
wc 63 kg - Jonny Benidze (Russia) - 203.5 points.
wc 73 kg – Volodimir Andreychuk (Ukraine) – 185,5 points.
wc 85 kg - Anton Anasenko (Russia) - 237 points.
wc over 85 kg - Ivan Denisov (Russia) – 260,5 points.
Girls snatch:
wc 63 kg - Elena Butorina (Russia) - 135 points.
wc over 63 kg - Melissa Swanson (USA) - 134 points.
Long cycle:
wc 73 kg – Aleksander Karepin (Russia) – 75 points,
wc 85 kg – Nikolay Lapshin (Russia) – 73 points,
wc over 85 kg - Evgeniy Goncharov (Kazakhstan) 59 points.
Three teams competed in jerk relay race. Kazakhstan won first place, Ukraine won second place and USA team was third.
It was 5th stage of World kettlebell cup. Before we had stages in Paris (France), Chelyabinsk (Russia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Darlington (UK). The last stage of year 2014 will be in Melbourne (Australia) in December.
