The 2023 World Kettlebell Lifting Championships took place in Uzbekistan in the historical city of Khiva. The championship became part of the large International Ethnosport festival. The grand opening of the festival took place in the central square of the city.
A representative of the Ministry of Sports of Uzbekistan read out a welcoming letter from the President of the Republic.
The competition took place over four days. On the first day, athletes competed in a long cycle. Athletes from the youth age group were the first to take to the platform, then amateurs and veterans. Professional athletes were in the evening part of the program.
The judges of the competition were representatives of different countries. On the second day, the athletes competed in the jerk exercise.
On the third day there is a snatch, and on the fourth day there are team relays.
The championship brought together more than 600 athletes from 21 countries. It was really great event!
