«GS Planet», a new Magazine about Kettlebell Sport, has started. It is published at www.GSPlanet.com for free and you can also preorder its hard copy at http://www.healthfactoryusastore.com/category-s/1825.htm or purchase at all official IUKL events in North and South Americas. All profits are donated directly to support the Kettlebell Sport.
The web resource GSPLANET and The Magazine are focused on English speaking kettlebell community. You can find information about world kettlebell sport, official IUKL events schedule and learn about nutrition and training in each issue of our magazine, you can also find the overview of the past and future events and read interesting facts about kettlebell history.
On the 1st of March 2014 the first issue of GS Planet The Magazine was published online and it was also printed in limited quantities. Here is its content:

Alexander Bodrov, the head editor of GS PLANET The Magazine and American Kettlebell Alliance General Secretary, thanks the VFGS and Valentin Egorov (the head editor of the Russian magazine"Гиревой спорт в России и в мире") for cooperation and shared information.
In 2014, four issues of GS The Planet Magazine will be published. The following issues will include the events schedules of European and Australian kettlebell unions, more tips about training and nutrition, facts and history of Kettlebell Sport and many other things.
Together we’ll make the Sport better!

Stage 1 of IUKL World Cup 2014 was held February 1-2 in Paris. IUKL planed to hold 6 stages this year.

There were participants from Croatia, England, France, Russia and another countries.

The next World Cup stage will be in Chelyabinsk (Russia) 25-28 of April. Another stages:S-Peterburg (Russia), Darlington (England), Las-Vegas (USA) and Melbourne (Australia).

World Kettlebell Championship was finished in Tyumen (Russia) last weekend. It was great event. A lot of people came there to compete from 22 countries. There were a lot of great results, a lot of new world records! Organizers provider a free flight from Moscow to Tyumen and from Tyumen to Moscow. It was full plane of kettlebell lifters (160 places).

It was very nice event! Very beautiful hall, nice medals, video broadcast, a lot of guests, celebratory opening ceremony. 

Russian team was strongest again. The second place – Ukraine, third place – Kazakhstan. Also there were really strong participants from Finland, USA, Croatia, Finland and Ireland.

Judges decided the best result was achieved by Denis Vasil’ev (Russia). His long cycle numbers = 90 reps in weight category 85 kg. He received a price 10 thousands euros!  

There was meeting of IUKL members and they decided to hold the next IUKL World Championship in Hamburg (Germany), European Championship – in Kiev (Ukraine).

European kettlebell Cup and World Championship among seniors and veterans were held in Zagreb (Croatia) 19-20 of October. It was great kettlebell event. There competed more then 200 athletes from 21 countries.

There are a lot of great results. For example Italian sportsman Mattia Amodio won LC in 85 kg weight class with result 90 reps. It’s new world record. Anton Anasenko achieved new record in snatch – 207 reps. Croatian team won relay among veterans. They achieved better result then Russian team.

The next kettlebell event will be in Russia – IUKL World Championship. November 20-24.

Hamburg city (Germany) was a center of youth kettlebell sport. IUKL European championship among youths was held here 27-28 of July. Main organizer of this event was “Hamburger Gewichtheber-Verband e.V.”.  

Youths competed with kettlebells 16 and 24 kg. (girls younger then 16 years old used 12 kg kettlebells). The best result in biathlon: weight class 85 kg, jerk 164 + snatch 177 – Sergey Balabanov (Russia). The best in long cycle: 102 reps in weight class 75 kg – Konstantin Betekhtin (Russia).

IUKL World Kettlebell Championship 2013 will be in Tyumen city, Russia. Dates of this event: November 20-24, 2013.

On Saturday 27th April Manchester Kettlebell Club hosted there very first Girevoy Sport Competition; The Girevoy Sport Union Manchester Kettlebell Open 2013.
Girevoy Sports Union (GSU) is a newly founded organisation of kettlebell sports coaches, clubs and athletes from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. their president is Anton Anasenko and vice president Mark Stapleton from ireland. Their mission is to inspire, teach and enable people to compete in Girevoy Sport with the sole purpose of increasing awareness and understanding of this amazing, competitive and exhilarating sport.
Manchester Kettlebell Club did not let anyone down in this respect. The team worked hard in organising what many have said was the best competition to date in the country.
What made this competition so good was the quality of athletes that were lifting. It was truly incredible. The numbers were as high as any competition gone before in the country, the skill level of each athlete was better than ever seen before. I believe you can put this down to the quality of coaching now developing in the country. Many of the top coaches and athletes in the UK and Ireland are now being coached themselves by top Russian coaches and lifters such as Anton Anasenko, Sergey Rudnev, and Aleksander Khovstov to name a few. So it can only get better for the sport over in future that some of the best lifters in the UK and Ireland, now have this opportunity to train and learn from the best of the best.
There were so many great performances and stand out moments from the competition. There were more ladies and men lifting heavier kettlebells than seen before in previous events. For instance there were 11 ladies lifting 16kg and 2 lifting 20kg. In the men’s competition there were 8 on 24kg, 5 on 28kg and 5 on 32kg. In total there were 70 athletes competing, many old faces and lots of new faces in their first ever competition. Let’s highlight the winners and some stand out results.
Ladies Absolute Champion on Biathlon was Laura White from Scottish Kettlebell Club. Laura was lifting 16kg in the 68kg+ category and managed 170 Jerk and 188 Snatch leaving her with a Absolute Total of 5728. If the event was in Co-Efficient the winner would have been Denise Holohan lifting 16kg in the 63kg category. Denise managed 144 Jerk and 170 Snatch leaving her with a Co-Efficient score of 83.04132231. Men’s Absolute Champion on Biathlon was Reece Armstrong. Reece was lifting 24kg in the 78kg category and managed 138 Jerk and 202 Snatch leaving him with an Absolute Total of 11472. Reece would also of been Co-Efficient Champion as well with a score 148.4087969.
Some further stand-out performances to take note of were that of Ray Wilson from Aberdeen Kettlebell Club lifting 32kg, and Abigail Johnston from Scottish Kettlebell Club lifting 20kg. Ray hit 83 Jerks and 81 Snatches on his way to an Absolute Score of 7904 and a Co-efficient of 96.15571776. Abigail as ever was amazing on hitting 202 reps on Snatch.
Highlight for the day, and the undoubted star of the day was Maksim Kolganov. A 12 year old Cossac Scot who showed great skill, heart and joy at being on the platform. Maksim was the first Junior to ever compete in a Girevoy Sport in the UK. A superb athlete and a lovely little lad. The joy on his proud father Vadims face was there for all to see. It was a great moment when Maksim came up to collect his winners medal, it literally brought the house down. If the electricity had gone, and we were surrounded by darkness, the little lads broad smile and joy would of lit the place up. It was a pleasure to watch this Junior Athlete. Almost certainly keep an eye on Maksim he has a bright future in the sport. The addition of the Men’s Jerk and Ladies Snatch Relay was a brilliant end to the day and really brought everyone together. At every competition the atmosphere starts to disappear towards the end of the day as everyone is so tired. But bringing the relay in really brought some excitement to the finale. It was a brilliant end to a great days lifting.
Girevoy Sport is growing year in and year out as the sport develops in the UK and Ireland and with GSU at the helm the future should be bright. With the support and help of our Russian friends we can’t fail. Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

World championship 2013 on kettlebell lifting will be in Tyumen (Russia). Organizers already started  preparation for this main event 2013.

They will do a free fligh from Moscow to Tyumen for all partisipants! They want to get a lot of counties on this championship. It will be the best event of kettlebell sport history.

5-th TAFISA World Sport for All Games 2012 was held 5-9 of July in Siauliai (Lithuania). There were more then 100 countries and more then 3000 athlets of different sports.

Kettlebell competition was a part of this great sport event. There were more then 100 athlets from 8 countries.

Here are champion's results:

Men:

- wc 63 kg: Valentin Egorov - 83 jerks\104 snatches (Russia);
- wc 68 kg: Evgeniy Yakovlev - 96 jerks\130 snatches (Russia);
- wc 73 kg: Alexander Khvostov - 110 jerks\153 snatches (Russia);
- wc 78 kg: Mikhail Kvashnin - 127 jerks\196 snatches (Russia);
- wc 85 kg: Rinat Gelmudinov - 106 jerks\97 snatches (Kazakhstan);
- wc 95 kg: Vitaly Didenko - 143 jerks\175 snatches (Kazakhstan);
- wc 105 kg: Konstantin Strekelovskih - 137 jerks\158 snatches (Russia);
- wc +105 kg: Alexander Mikhalev - 130 jerks\165 snatches (Russia).

Women:

- wc 58 kg: Dzanita Pavlova - 95 snatches (Russia);
- wc 63 kg: Kseniya Dedyukhina - 132 snatches (Russia);
- wc 68 kg: Tatyana Potyomkina - 165 snatches (Kazakhstan);
- wc +68 kg: Anastasiya Zolotaryova - 180 snatches (Russia) - new world record.

Also there was a relay race comp - 5 partisipant, 3 minutes jerk per everyone. Results are:

1. Russia - 283;
2. Kazakhstan - 265;
3. Ukraine - 209;
4. Lithuania - 208;
5. Latvia - 204;
6. Lithuanian Club "Jega" - 216 (weight of kettlebells 24 kg.)

Congradulations for all champions and competitors!

European Championship 2012 under IUKL was held 19-20 of April in Belgorod (Russia). There competed athleths from Ireland, France, Russia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Ukraine ect… Also there were representatives of Singapore and Hong Kong.

There are two classes of athletes: professionals (32 kg kettlebells for men and 24 kg kettlebells for women) and amateurs (24 kg kettlebells for men and 16 kg kettlebells for women).

Organizers made this event not only like sport competition. It was very nice holiday. It was most beautiful event of all kettlebell history! There were a lot of new European records, for example Ivan Belyaev’s result = 78 reps in long cycle (weight class 78 kg.).

Team results of this championship: 1 place – Russia, 2 place – Latvia, 3 place – Kazakhstan.

April 21 of 2012 in Worms (Germany) was held kettlebell championship of  3-German regions on nontraditional exercises.
Hessen, Rheinland-pfalz and Baden-Württemberg.

Main organizer of this event – KSV 1905 Worms (head coach Aleksey Dornhof).
Not a lot of participants came here, but it was just beginning. There were 12 competitors.

They could compete in one of nomination:
- press of kettlebell (1 min);
- one arm jerk (3 min);
- double arm jerk (5 min);
- snatch (3 min);
- long cycle (5 min).

And they could use 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 or 32 kg kettlebells. They had two weight categories: 90 kg and more then 90.

One of the best result is one arm jerk 32 kg 51 reps.
